Letters from Paradise

Well spring has got off to a great start if we don't count the first few days in the 40s....its in the 80s now and life is once more great in paradise.

The spring break kids are in town, in fact they have taken over the town but they are enjoying the area and spending Mom and Dads money. Even some of them are buying fabric.

I want to pass this on and give a shout out to one lady who never rests, sleeps or eats. Her screen name is awkoth@msn.com, her real name is Norma and since we, Kalico and Keepsakes, have been involved with "Quilts for Heroes" Norma has sent us over 500 lap quilts to be given to returning military troops. The shop has probably done over 5000 and we are still doing them. In fact if any of you ladies would like to help just email me and I will give you all the details. If you have a friend or a loved one in the military now let us have the address and we will see that he or she gets a lap quilt. I just wish I could put all the pictures and letters we have received from the troops, there parents and even one letter from President Bush. Not to bad for a couple of people that thought a fat quarter was a 25cent piece ran over by a train.
